I'll bet there are not to many places in WooTown where one can get their vegan fix.....and frankly I just do not understand the entire concept but I understand funk and having this food purchase option is funky and something this city desperately needs more of so I thought I would give a shout out to the Artichoke Food Co-Op and it's food offerings that are available to the public!
I'd love to see these cats get it together and be a wee bit more capitalistic so that the Artichoke Food Co-Op could expand and be more of a force in WooTown-employment and product wise but this is probably not in the making so it is what it is and I wish them well:>)
So for all you WooTown west enders and Paxton residents looking for more than a BJ or heroin fix...Main South has one if not the lone vegan bakah in the city and he has bread to sell!

Can't a west sider be looking for both a BJ and some decent eats? Don't limit us Paulie, we have needs just like the rest of you.

I go to the Artichoke for my chocolate milk when I do not feel like driving direct to Coopahs Farm.
Not enough product and economic spin-off in the neighborhood from this hidden gem.

fresh inexpensive vegan organic locally-homemade white-oat-wheat bread
-- every TUESDAY and FRIDAY at the artichoke co-op (10-6pm) and every SATURDAY (10-2pm) at the main south farmers' market (corner of main and benefit st)
-- at $4.25 per loaf and $3.25 per half loaf
